Oxford Holiday Camp For Children

Provide your community with safe, diverse and fun activities for children and young people

Our teacher-led, Ofsted registered holiday camps and after-school clubs provide exciting and safe activities for children and young people aged 5-15 years old.

Our camps and clubs are a great opportunity to add an additional income stream to your school.

Our popular ibrick after-school clubs offer STEM activities based on LEGO® bricks, for children and young people aged 5-15 years old.

We design our multi-activity and ibrick holiday camps to be packed with a wide variety of activity sessions, fully utilising the facilities and grounds of the school.

Each camp is run under careful guidance and instruction, and all conducted in an atmosphere of enormous fun supported by a team of enthusiastic and experienced staff and helpers.

We are a children’s activity provider with a social purpose, so we set aside a percentage of our places for children and young people from disadvantaged families. We monitor the impact of our camps through an evidence-based approach, to ensure that they truly make a difference to the children and young people attending.

At our after-school clubs, children and young people build and design motorised models using LEGO® bricks, while developing their STEM skills.

At our multi-activity camps, children and young people are provided with an extensive program of activities, from which they choose each day. There is always a choice of a sport, a cookery, or an arts & crafts session, plus additional outdoor activities depending on weather and numbers.

At our ibrick holiday camps, children and young people experience an action-packed day of building with LEGO® bricks and a range of other STEM challenges.

The rooms required on site vary depending on the focus of each specific camp.

Parents drop off and collect children from an easily accessible entrance to the site, which is constantly monitored during the day by the Team Manager and locked when not in use. All areas used on site are tidied and left as they are found at the beginning of the course.

The courses are advertised, managed and regulated in line with the policies and procedures of House of Fun Ltd, and are registered with Ofsted.

House of Fun activity camps are fully insured through Morton Michel, the UK’s leading childcare insurance specialist.

Meet the team

Jake Motion - Founder & Managing Director

As House of Fun Ltd Founder and Managing Director, I am absolutely passionate about maintaining House of Fun as a high-quality children’s activity provider with a social purpose.

Prior to running House of Fun full-time, I was a school teacher for over a decade, as well as a Senior Leader and Specialist Leader of Education. I bring to the team my significant experience of inspiring children and staff to achieve through well-planned and executed learning activities, as well as detailed knowledge of safeguarding and compliance procedures.

I began working in the activity camp industry at the age of 15, starting as a sports assistant instructor, and then progressing to running my own sports camps. I have a degree in French, Italian and Spanish, which led me to my first full-time job in Commercial Real Estate, and later in Sports Marketing and PR for clients across Europe, before I trained as a teacher.

Michael Hilsdon - Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, I am the main contact for our host schools and do everything to ensure our camps, clubs and workshops run efficiently. I am also responsible for ensuring that House of Fun is up to date and compliant with all professional body standards, including Ofsted, and that all of our activities run in line with our policies and procedures.

As someone with a love of organisation, I enjoy nothing more than setting up camps, clubs and workshops and overseeing the weekly logistics with our Team Managers and Instructors. I also lead the planning of the day-to-day running of camps, clubs and workshops, scheduling activities to ensure all children have the best time possible at House of Fun.

Before joining House of Fun in June 2021 I worked in recruitment for several years and have previously worked in schools and with looked after children. I have used so many aspects of my previous roles in my life at House of Fun that it seems like everything I did was always leading up to this!
